Firefly had departed from the packlands again and this time she'd went further across the lands than she had in a while. The extra weight that was carrying around her midsection made her snarl with every step as she was reminded of what was to come. She had been following a strange scent that reminded her slightly of Phoenix Valley and yet had nothing to do with the pack as well. Horses. She had been well aquainted with the scent once and now it was just another fading memory. The girl was rather curious as to what horses were doing around the lands, she figured they would be wild but she hadn't ever seen a wild horse along the lands except for the ones that her mother's pack had somehow pulled into the corral and they were still running circles in the meadows even now. Firefly wasn't even sure that the horses were tamed yet though she knew her mother had some hairbrained idea to tame the beasts.. she shook her head at the thoughts and sighed at the weighty reminded that was making her motions alittle less elegant than normal.
She paused at the barbed wire fence and stared through to the dead meadow beyond where snow seemed to cover most of the world and where there wasn't snow it seemed that a few random stocks of grass were pushing through. Lifting her nose to the air she caught the stale scent again, but thistime with wolves. She was rather curious as to what she'd found here at this old barrier into another's lands. Someone new had come out to play and she didn't think she'd even heard nor seen these strangers yet. Her interest was peaked and she wanted to know what was beyond the border.. no matter how bleak and boring a snow covered meadow may appear. |

:D She tilted her head to the side and watched the male that was shuffling snow here and there and trying to get the stupid beasts to see what was buried just below the surface. She really didn't understand just why these wolves were foolish enough to keep creatures that didn't even know how to find their own food. Firefly chuckled at the sight of his work and how pathedic he looked as he threw a little tantrum and plopped his rear in the snowbank. She ddin't even really think of how her voice would carry over the snowy field but she wagged her tail in amusement. She hadn't thought she would see much today of this new pack but this weird fellow was enough to give her a bit to chuckle over for a while. She knew she should remain at their borders but there was no point if the male was blinded by his chores. She took a step over the border when she caught the scent of the other, her eyes flashed to catch sight of the second stranger but she paid little heed to that one, a pintsize annoyance if anything. Their pack had those and soon would have more but she didn't want to think on that. Flicking her ears back as she tried to catch the words the small fry said she decided to give up and just continue on with her free roaming of their lands since neither seemed to want to come greet her. She would demand what they wouldn't give. Moving across the snowy grasses she called out idly. "I'd just get it over with and eat them now." She knew the uses of horses, even in Eire they had kept horses with the cattle, mostly to help when they raided the other clans cattle herds, quicker escape and more exciting.. but She'd always ignored the offer of a horse to ride even then. They were too stupid for her likings, to tame and broken. She'd been interested in the mustang that was in the corral in Phoenix Valley, even if it would have just been to let the thing escape and see what hapened next. Grinning at the male and his halfpint company as she moved closer she flicked snow off her pelt as she waited to see what the members of this new territory would do with a stranger on his lands. |

Firefly almost growled at the words the puppy had said his smart mouth reminding her of another. "Allow the stupid beasts to do the labor, you'll only grow fat and lazy pup.." she said with a grin and sat down in the snow close to where the male's seemed to be at rest from his workout. She stared at the small amout of grass he'd uncovered and cut for the animals. She flicked her ears at his words and a small smile appeared on her lips as she admitted. "There's a pack in these lands that seem to feel the same way, though for the most part they keep stranger prey penned up than these even." The cattle, sheep and pigs were the weirdest things that Firefly had seen but they weren't anything she had to deal with on a daily basis, they weren't in her pack. "It could be easier on you to find out if they've any spare hay.. " she suggested, knowing that winter wasn't the best time to be slaving away to keep the food fed.
She watched as he turned towards the young one and if he was there to help. She smiled and gave him a small wink as she chuckled, "Of course.. that makes it harded to find work for the young ones too I guess." The normally dark and dangerous lady seemed in a strange mood today, sure it was wise not to show your true nature when it wasn't always the one that made people feel at ease around you, but normally she didn't care. Well, atleast this change in moods was good for her pack, for the day. |

Firefly could easily ignore the small puppy but it seemed the longer the conversation was drawn out the quicker the small fry lost interest in the words of the two adults and he seemed to make his own exit when his own packmate made a comment on getting the boy to do some actual work and clean up after the creature's droppings. She wrinkled her nose at the idea and silently was glad that she did not belong to this strange strange pack, or tribe.. whatever they might be. Her emerald eyes found those of the male as she smiled wickedly while the pup hightailed it out of the field as quickly as possible. She chuckled softly as her smile dropped into a simpler one as she spoke up. "I'm Firefly Sadira, from Dahlia de Mai.." she ran her nails through the thick snow as she glanced about the little bit of hard work the male had been stuck doing.
She really didn't want to make any comments on how having such creatures really didn't seem worth it, he'd already pushed aside those thoughts she'd already graced him with and he seemed so interested in keeping the dumb brutes that she could only help him along since she'd already mentioned Phoenix Valley and it's horrible collection of dimwitted pets. She smiled slightly at one of those dim beasts as she gave the information the red male was interested in. "Phoenix Valley, they live north east of here along the beach.. past the human city." She turned in the direction of the packlands in the distance as she continued on. "You can't miss them, they're the only pack along that coast." She grinned at the idea of how her family would react to knowing Firefly had pointed the male in their dirrection. Who in their right mind would think that Firefly actually might be up to a good deed or two.. of course she was hoping that Phoenix Valley would give them too much hay and the pathedic excuse for a pack would have to get off their rumps and work some like the rest of the packs in the territory. She knew she was being unfair, the pack had done their work in the sweltering heat while the others had lounged about.. now they could stay huddled up in the cold weather while the rest of the world had to hunt and gather to keep their way of life alive. She shook her head slightly at the thought before asking the male, "Sooo.. who are you anyways, and this pack?" |

Firefly couldn't help but notice the nervous glances and lingering looks the male made, as though he were still but a young child fresh from puppyhood and just learning about the opposite sex. She thought it was such a pity that she was currently in a state that she couldn't bring even more of a blush to his cheeks or a stammer to his words. Perhaps at a later date or time she could try. There was always later and she did so love to see the males turn into awkward little boys when she flicked her tail their way. The thoughts that lingered in her head made her smile slightly as he gave her his name. She stored it away in the back of her mind along with memory of the shy but sturdy male that graced her presence. She could find a place for him in time, she knew she could.. if she dared.
When he'd thanked her for the information she'd granted him she just shook it away with a pass of her head and a soft smile. "It really is nothing.." she said with that soft irish tenor as she ducked her head down a moment. It really was nothing to her, he would be pestering Phoenix Valley, not Dahlia de Mai and her mother would probably have to answer to their pleads, and if she knew the foolish woman she'd give them everything they wanted and more. Her little smile stayed upon her lips as she raised her emerald orbs and tossed her bangs from her face with a tilt of her head when finally he granted her the brief history of their pack, or tribe as they called it. The coppery gold woman who was thought a minor goddess of sorts by others, for reasons few knew but if given the chance she'd make the silly title more believeable in the future. She had a mate who would turn a tail without a second thought, why she couldn't do the same, well after the puppies were born into the world maybe she'd show him just what she could do. With the knowledge of the tribe he seemed to seek out her gaze, something it seemed that the male had been avoiding the whole time. She smiled softly as she nodded, those sparkling gems meeting his own eyes as she spoke. "Perhaps when the seasons grow warmer you will find how pleasant the lands.. and the wolves of the territory can be.." Her eyes danced as she teased the male slightly, wondering if he could catch onto her gest. She loved the awkwardness that he posed, and a leader none the less! |

She couldn't help but smile at his words as he spoke of the lands and the company they had to offer. He wasn't for certain just who the male had met but she was certain it probably wasn't the same crowd she tended to drift about, or had in the past. Now see had turned more towards her pack and the family that was forming within the lands. Though there was love between the two cousins it was hard love and filled with just as much darkness as caring and gentle caresses. While the male before her had probably had the best of all worlds in her past life the Sadira woman would have gladly tested new waters to see if there was another soul who could stand the passions of her desire and keep up beside her at the same time. Though she would probably always be drawn towards the chocolate hued Soul she didn't honestly believe their love would ever weather the storms he was so grand at putting them through. Sooner or later her steele frame would show through and she'd walk right out on the Lilium, now wasn't the time though carrying his children in her womb. She caught the sparkle in his eyes as she turned her own away from the male as she chuckled softly. "Well I hope that your forming friendships blossom into lasting ventures.." she said, knowing that having someone to turn to in timesof need was just as important as having one to turn to in times of loneliness. She could count her friends on one paw but she knew that if ever anything would happen she could turn to them. They might not understand the reason for the things she did or even like them but they were there through all. She winced as one of the fiesty unborn gave her a nudge. She growled slightly and rolled her eyes at the shifting movement of the young. "Not even born yet and they have plenty to say.." she laughed softly. |

Firefly just flashed him a grin as he spoke once more, she knew quite a few but considered few friends. It was part of her nature to walk through life thisway and she was content with it. She knew that not every soul out there believe the same as she did, but the less that really knew her the less she had to worry about who was hurt and what happened down the road. She flicked her ears back a moment on that idea and wondered if she would even bother socializing with souls outside her pack since there was hardly any chance they would meet again unless political or social moments thought it necessary, though she just let the thought linger for a moment before shoving it aside with a absentminded rub to her belly with one paw.
The male made her laugh at the comment. He had no clue what sort of world these poor children were about to be born into. A pack that would care for them yes, but parents that were constantly at war and emotions that ran high.. she wondered if the small guys would even make it to see their first spring at the rate the high speed world in her pack was moving. Her gaze moved to the ground and away from the male's eyes as she shook her head. "As long as they don't take after their parents I think the world will be fine." Her eyes were dark with humor as she smirked, knowing that it was hard enough for the world to handle the two wolves of Dahlia de Mai, muchless their offspring. She was secretly excited to see what they would bring to the world but just the same afraid, she didn't know if everyone felt this way but she wasn't about to ask. Rubbing her forleg against the spot where the child had kicked she smiled softly at the male and chuckled. "I'd better head back before my pack starts to worry about their next generation.." She knew that a few might worry about her but the puppies would be the main thing on anyone's mind if she disappeared for more than a day or so at a time. Really, some days she felt that she was just around for their amusement and questions. It wasn't like she could answer them, she'd never had puppies before, it was an all new experiance for the whole pack of young wolves it seemed. |

She did little by smile at the words of the male, she wasn't exactly one for safety but the male didn't need to know everything about her just yet. She flicked her eyes off into the distance as she wondered if anyone in the pack had actually noticed that the higher ranked mother to be had been absent for quite some time. She gave a twitch of her tail as she dismissed her thoughts and with the soft smile returned her eyes back to the male as he graced her with the strange farewell.
She lowered her own head slightly and spoke softly. "The same Dawali.." she hoped that she would see him again yet she left the thought just where it lingered as she turned back towards the slim opening in the barb wire and began her long tramps back towards the lands of Dahlia de Mai. She hoped that she wouldn't begin to feel worn before making it back to the packlands, she already was tired enough to find a place to just curl up in, but she didn't want to hear it from the others if she didn't appear back at their doorstep like a good little girl. She shook her head to herself and braced for a long and weary trail back, but she dreamed of curling up before the fireplace, a nice thought to keep her determined and on the path. |
